Life: The best trainer

Life teaches you in the most innovative ways. You think you have learnt enough,  have been humbled enough, have matured enough. But life has its own parameters and standards for you. It constantly throw you in fire so that you can come out everytime being a more polished and a more glittery gem.
The beauty of this everlasting training programme of "Life" I have just recently experienced. I am posted at Surat since past three months. The branch being in a backward area of district, the customers are notorious for being rude, savage and less educated. In the initial few days (and even till now) I have heard this dialogue almost daily "Yeh log aise hi hain inko aise hi treat karte hain" (These people are bad ,treat them in a way they are already being treated) It always reminds me of movie "Article 15", where Ayushman's colleagues used to say him the same and he used to ask "Kon log?" (Which people?) Aren't they part of us?
The problem with us all is we want equality with our superiors but we deny the same to our inferiors. Inferior as per the so called standards of education, etiquettes, financial and social status. We want to be heard patiently and treated fairly by family, society, bureaucracy, government and judiciary. But do we treat others with this much rationality and without prejudices? Prejudices and pre conceived notions are the two biggest threats to peace and prosperity of humanity.
But as life wanted to teach me the lesson to stand against irrational notions. I shrugged of all the negative feedbacks and kept behaving with the customers in a positive and polite manner. Initially even I felt that they are different. But then I remember a saying of one of my teachers(Navneet Srivastav), "Different is equal to different, different is not equal to wrong." People are different they have their own unique ways of living and none of their ways are wrong. It is just the perceptions which are right or wrong.
For my whole life I have always believed in this concept -"What you seek is seeking you." If you seek positivities  of others they will also look at the brighter side of yours and life will become much easier and peaceful. And that peace also surrounded my life. The harsh tones of customers started softening, complaints lessened, the people who were known to be rude started saying "Sorry" and "Thank you" like words in each of their conversations, frowns turned into smiles, and criticism into appreciation. Now they come and greet happily and behave in a much civilised and generous manner than before(atleast with me).
So I learnt behaviour of others towards us is very much a reflection of our own behaviour. Though exceptions do exist but persistive politeness , humility and positivity surely helps in making this world a better place.
